Why Use Save The Date cards?
Save the Dates are a useful way to inform your guests of your future wedding plans. Many couples send these small cards out a year or more in advance of their wedding. Below, five Save the Dates with a banner theme are compared. Which Save the Date will you choose for your wedding day?
“Etched Banners” is included in my review because of the simple etched design and contrasting rich wood grain. A banner with a vintage style font announces your wedding information. Each save the date is unique because the wood grain will never be the same. However, you are only able to customize the names, the date and the location lines with your information and font choice. “Etched Banners” does include unprinted mailing envelopes in a variety of colors. It will cost extra to mail this save the date to your guests. 100 Save the dates with unprinted colored envelopes cost $605.41 with standard US shipping.
I like this photo save the date because it offers my clients two things. First, its a chance to put their engagement photos to good use. (Just make sure your photographer has signed a release for you to use their photos in materials they have not printed.) Second, if you haven’t chosen your colors yet, this save the date has many different ones. However, the back of the save the date is printed in fuchsia and some people may assume that’s one of your wedding colors! 100 save the dates with plain white unprinted mailing envelopes cost $112.91 with standard US shipping.
I love the design of this save the date because it includes two popular wedding themes. First, the flag banner theme that has “save the date” spelled out. Second, the love bird theme is included with two aqua birds sitting side by side on the banner. This save the date is also the most customizable because you can choose your own verse, fonts and ink colors. Choose a color mailing envelope at no extra cost. **This save the date wins my best pick for the price!** 100 save the dates with color mailing envelopes cost $ 124.16 with standard US shipping.
In second place on my review is this fun photo save the date. I like the large photo printed on the back of the invitation but the fun begins on the front. A large banner declares “Save the Date” with an added touch of glitter. Below, your wedding details are printed. You choose the ink colors for the background and for your names and date. 100 Save the dates with unprinted white mailing envelopes cost $150.16 with standard US shipping.
This postcard save the date is my favorite of the five in this review. The vintage typography and simple banner allow your photo to be the star of the design. Choose your own ink colors to customize the postcard as shown in purple. The paper is a thick 120 lb white coated card stock. 100 postcard save the dates cost $97.66 with standard US shipping.
